NOBEL PRIZE IN CHEMISTRY

Hello!
Today I'm going to write about Osamu Shimomura, a Japanesse Scientist who had recieved a nobel prize in chemistry on 2008. He won the prize with other scientist, and they discover a green fluorescent protein.

Osamu Shimomura was born in Japan, exactly in Kyoto, on August 27, 1928. Later, he moved to Ishahaya, and it was located from 15 miles of the epicentre of the atomic bomb. Shimomura said that he heard the bomber who was to bomb the city with the atomic bomb, and the flash of the atomic bomb blinded to Osamu for 30 seconds. He also had been drenched by the atomic bombs fallout.

Osamu Shimomura didn't had lot of opportunities for study, but he inssisted on continueing with the studies and he finished the universisty. Apart from that he was awarded a BS degree in pharmacy in 1951.Then, he  find employment as an assistant to Professor Yoshimasa Hirata at Nagoya University in 1956.

 In 1962, Shimomura worked in the Department of Biology at Princeton for Professor Johnson to study Jellyfish. There, they find the green fluorescent protein, and that was the reason of the Nobel price that he recieved in 2008.
